Tour of the GM Automotive Centre of Excellence’s Climatic Wind Tunnel at UOIT and Networking Opportunity at Shoeless Joe’s Oshawa
The Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) is the first research, development and innovation centre of its kind in Canada, and in many respects the world. Located on UOIT's campus in Oshawa, ACE is owned by the university and will operate as an independent test facility, available to rent by manufacturers of all descriptions, start-up companies and researchers in Canada and around the globe. This flexible, dynamic and secure one-stop-shop has a full range of testing facilities, including one of the largest and most sophisticated climatic wind tunnels in the world, large and small soak rooms, an environmental chamber with a four poster shaker, and a hemi-anechoic chamber with a multi-axis shaker table. ACE is divided into two distinct sections, a core research facility and an integrated research and training facility.
